About
The story of Alex & Max
While Max on a photography project across Scotland, Alex was about to start her International Mountain Training in the Scottish Highlands. They met on a walk in the Cairngorm Mountains and realised they shared the same passion and interests.
Talking about their future projects, Alex mentioned she was going to attempt a First Ascent as her next challenge. Max knew straight away he wanted to be involved, and the pair started brainstorming which resulted to Max moving out to the Swiss Alps to train and prepare for the expedition with Alex which will likely involve a number of mini adventures!
Alexandra Nemeth
As a personal photography project, Alex set herself a challenge in 2014 to climb the ‘Seven Summits’, the highest mountain on each continent. She’s also soloed Mont Blanc and climbed the Matterhorn.
“In May 2018, I was standing on the summit of Mt Everest for an exhilarating 40 minutes, completing the 7 summits. Each expedition was special for a reason and I learnt so much about the mountains and myself.”
2014 Elbrus 5,642m
2014 Kilimanjaro 5,895m
2014 Vinson 4,892m
2015 Denali 6,194m
2016 Aconcagua 6,961m
2017 Carstensz Pyramid 4,884m
2018 Everest 8,848m
All summits successfully climbed on the first attempt.
“In June 2019, I saw an opportunity to follow my dream. I packed up my car with my belongings and moved from London to the Swiss Alps.
Living in the mountains is where I am the happiest and where my heart belongs to. I have the best playground I can wish for and I spend as much time as possible playing outside, exploring, leading tours and learning.”
Alex is a qualified Mountain Bike Leader.
She’s also an experienced and qualified Mountain Leader and British Athletics Running Leader.
